When the feeder hangs on the tree branch, the top piece of wood is actually crooked…as if it is ‘open’ on the top. Took the downy woodpeckers a bit of time to get used to this feeder.

Beautiful, rustic and sturdy. The wood weight keeps it from blowing around and gives our friends lots of places to perch. Easy to fill. Fits in naturally in yard. Love ❤️ these.

Besides being adorable, this product is so easy to use. We have woods behind our house so we have a wide variety of birds. Woodpeckers- Hairy, Downy, red bellied, and Pileated have visited these. Plus the chickadees, titmouse, and mockingbirds are eating there daily. My one gripe is that the chains that hang it are a bit flimsy and may need replacing soon.
